Great place to visit! Wonderful views. Take a tour from a local company like Sun Tours so you don't have to drive in the park.
Tried to have lunch at the inn while on vacation at the park. We stopped at the lounge first, completely packed, went to the main dining room and were told it was closed for a private party (maybe try closing the doors and take away the hostess next time??). There were maybe 12-15 people in there. I get renting space for a private party, but it would have made far more sense to have the private party of that size in the lounge so you have more seating for other customers. And even that was not as bad as the condescending attitude of the manager. His staff were nice enough, but then he came storming over and made a scene. It was really uncalled for.
This was perfect for a quick vacation. Took Amtrak, stayed at the glacier park inn, toured park with the red bus. Food and tours were so perfect.
We only stopped here to grab some coffee and water, but the atmosphere and staff we're really enjoyable. If you're looking for somewhere to stay near Glacier, this would definitely be an option worth considering.
Awesome. Historical. Stay at the inn prices start at $160.00 a night. Reasonable. Views are awesome. A great weekend getaway if you are close. Lots of prarie dogs they want to fed. So feed them they are everywhere.
